Raymond Tyler

SARANAC LAKE — Raymond Tyler, 64, of 136 River Street, a lifelong resident of the area, died yesterday afternoon at the General Hospital of Saranac Lake.

He was born in Paul Smiths, a son of William and Lydia Cross Tyler.

Survivors include his wife, the former Pauline LaBounty of Saranac Lake; a son, Alton Richard of Saranac Lake; a daughter, Mrs. Judith Rae Potenza of Mount Vernon; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Sawyer of Saranac Lake and Mrs. Fanny Roth of New Jersey; one grandson, Donald Rae one grandson, Donald Rae Tyler, and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Tyler had been a plumber for many years and retired in 1971.

Friends may call tonight at 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fortune Funeral Home. A funeral service will be said Saturday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Eric King, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery in May.
