A company of friends was pleasantly entertained at a dainty luncheon given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. C Baumes, Wednesday evening of last week, when announcement was made of the engagement of their daughter, Miss Ruth C. to George Whitman Otis, of Saranac Lake. The plan of announcement was most unique, and in accordance with the time of the year. Each guest was presented with a brightly colored Easter egg which, when opened, revealed the announcement. The marriage will take place in the early summer.
