Edward M. Oshier was a caretaker for several camps in the St. Regis Lakes area, including the Trevor Camp, Ross Park and Topridge.

Edward M. Oshier

Edward M Oshier, 57, died suddenly on Monday at the Trevor family camp on Upper St. Regis Lake. Mr. Oshier was a maintenance man and caretaker for several camps in the area including Ross Park and Topridge.

He was born Oct. 27, 1910 in Lyon Mt., a son of Myers and Eva Pelkey Oshier and had made his home in Paul Smiths for 55 years.

Survivors are his wife, the former Isabel Finlayson; his mother, now Mrs. Eva Bourk; a son, Ronald of Spencer; a daughter, Mrs. John (Donna) Goff of Paul Smiths; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Boyer of California and Mrs. John Jones of Tupper Lake; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Fortune Funeral Home beginning this evening. A Presbyterian service will be held at the funeral home at 3:45 p. m. Thursday. Burial will he in Brighton Cemetery in Gabriels.
