Adirondack Daily Enterprise, December 21, 1964

Mrs. K.S. McCaddon

Mrs. Katharine Sanderson McCaddon, widow of Stanley G. McCaddon, and a former resident of Saranac Lake, died Sunday at Peterborough, N. H. She was 67 years of age. Her homes were in Pompano Beach, Fla. and Rindge, N. H.

Mrs. McCaddon was born at Fort Edward, a daughter of Edwin Nash Sanderson of New York City and Sarah Rogers Sanderson of Worcester, Mass.

She made her home in Saranac Lake, in the Glenwood section, during the early '30s when her husband was recovering from tuberculosis. Two years ago she spent the summer on Lake Kiwassa with Mrs. Martha Jordan.

Her sister, Mrs. Douglas Sloane, who founded the Cathedral of the Pines at Rindge in memory of a son killed in World War II, survives her.

A funeral service was held this afternoon at the Worcester Crematory and her ashes will be taken to Rindge to be buried beside those of her husband and their daughter, Mary Elizabeth. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Cathedral of the Pines.
