Clarence Skiff was a camp caretaker and a fire observer.

DIED AT ONCHIOTA.

Clarence Skiff, of Onchiota, passed away last week. He had been in declining health since last summer, and had been confined to his bed for a month preceding his death.

Mr. Skiff was well known throughout the Adirondack Mountain section, and had been employed as caretaker for a camp owned by Samuel Hadgekead at Onchiota, for a period of seventeen years. He was familiarly known among his numerous friends as Lert Skiff. In recent years he had made his home with his sister, Mrs. Edward Sears, at Onchiota.

He leaves surviving one son, Percy Skiff, of Syracuse, one daughter, Jenabell, of Syracuse; one sister, Mrs. Edward Sears, of Onchiota, and two brothers, Will Skiff and L. S. Skiff, of Onchiota.
