Leon Hale was a veteran of both World War I and World War II.  He was a son of John and Elvira McCarthy Hale.

Leon Hale

Leon Hale died Monday at his home, 28 Front Street, Saranac Lake at the age of 65.

Mr. Hale had been an Army career man and served in both World Wars I and II and retired in 1942. He was born in Saranac Lake on Oct. 21, 1902, a son of John and Elvira McCarthy Hale.

Survivors are a brother, Francis of Saranac Lake, and half-sister, Mrs. Millie Whitson of Saranac Lake.

Friends may call at the Fortune Funeral Home. The Rev. Sang-Hyun Hahn, pastor of the Bloomingdale Methodist Church will officiate at a service at the funeral home at 2 p. m. Wednesday. Interment will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery.
