CONSTABLE — Delia B. Rogers, 95, a former resident of Saranac Lake, died Monday, July 7, at the home of her son, Robert J. Rogers, Jr., in Constable.
She was born in Chasm Falls, Jan. 2, 1891, the daughter of Malbern and Lena Belanga.
Mrs. Rogers had worked as a cook in Saranac Lake, including employment at many cure cottages, such as the Altavista. She was also a cook at a number of homes in the area.
She had lived at Lake Flower Apartments on Riverside Drive, and was a member of Whiteface Mountain Chapter 106, Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her son; a sister, Florence Amyotte of Baldwinsville; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Fortune Funeral Home in Saranac Lake and include an Eastern Star service at 2:30.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Lowenthal, pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Saranac Lake, officiating. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Saranac Lake.
