Charles Van Nortwick was a [War II veteran].  He was a son of William E. and Mary Clarity VanNortwick.

VAN NORTWICK RITES IN S. LAKE

Charles Van Nortwick, 34 died suddenly Monday in New York City. He became ill on the street and was removed to St. Clare's Hospital where be died shortly after arrival.

His body will repose at the Fortune Funeral Chapel where services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow. Rev. Norman M. Moss will officiate. Interment will be in the family plot, Pine Ridge Cemetery. There will be a veterans memorial service at 8 o'clock tonight.

Mr. VanNortwick was born October 9, 1920, in Saranac Lake, the son of William E. and Mary Clarity VanNortwick. He was veteran of World Var II having served with the First Division of the U.S. Marines.  

Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Alice LeBlanc, of Saranac Lake, Mrs. Cleon Ross, of Grafton, Mass., Mrs. Mildred SanPietro, of Hasbrouck Heights, N.J., and brother, Ralph, of Ogdensburg.
