Robert C. Flanders was a [War II veteran].  He was a son of Charles and Doris Flanders.

Robert Flanders

Robert Flanders, 51, a World War II Army veteran who was wounded at [Hill], died suddenly yesterday at Brushton where he had lived for the past 15 years. Mr. Flanders served with the Army in North Africa, Sicily, and Italy. He had been a game protector for the State of New York and had retired.

He was born Dec. 8, 1915 in Rainbow Lake, a son of Charles and Doris Flanders. His wife, Doris, is deceased.

Mr. Flanders was a member of the Brighton Post, American Legion and a veterans service will be held for him at 8 o'clock this evening at the Fortune Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p. m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Daniel Partridge, pastor of the Saranac Lake Methodist Church officiating. Interment at Brighton Cemetery will follow the service.
