Children:  Ella Moody, and Allen Moody.  Allen was born after the death of his father. 

Phineas Moody was the son of Harvey Moody and the grandson of Jacob Smith Moody; he guided with his father. He enlisted in the Civil War as a substitute for his brother Alonzo in July 1863. He died in Central Park Hospital and is buried in New York City.
