GAYLORD J. WRAY

Gaylord J. Wray, 55, of RFD, Cadyville died suddenly at Redford Sunday morning.

He was born in Morris on June 8, 1913 the son of Willard and Minnie (Hickok) Wray.

A resident of this community for 30 years, he was a member of the American Legion Post 852 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 125, having been a veteran of World War II. He held a private pilot's license and was a member of the Civil Air Patrol at Plattsburgh as chief warrant officer in charge of emergency of the Clinton Senior Squadron, He belonged to the East Branch Rod and Gun Club, St. Regis Falls and to Mt. Hermon Lodge 572, F&AM, Ellenburg. An officer at Dannemora State Hospital, he was also a partner in a stockade trading post at Fish Creek Pond.

Survivors are his wife, the former Isabel Peterson; one son, Jeffrey, who is a student at Wagner College at Staten Island; his mother, Minnie of Bloomingdale; and a brother, Robert E. Hickok of Bloomingdale.

Funeral services were held at the Dannemora Community Church at 10 a. m. Wednesday, Nov. 27.
