DIED WHILE GOING HOME FOR XMAS.
Christmas afternoon, at about 6:30 o'clock at the Hotel de Wilson in Malone occurred the death of Mrs. Philip Adler, of Saranac Lake, of chronic heart trouble, aged 41 years. Mrs. Adler, who was formerly Miss Amelia A. Currier, of Norwood, left her home at Saranac Lake last Thursday to spend the holidays at her old home in Norwood. On arriving in Malone she found that she would, have to wait some considerable time before she could get a train on the Rutland and so went to the Hotel de Wilson to wait. While there she was taken ill with heart trouble, from which she had been a sufferer for a long time. She was unable to proceed on her journey, and on Saturday she was taken suddenly worse, and Dr. Whitehead, who was called, did all that was possible and for a time the patient rallied, but the improvement was only transitory, for shortly after 6 o'clock, while the physician was absent, she began to sink rapidly and Dr. Oliver was finally called, but the, patient was dead when he arrived. Mr. Adler arrived at Malone Sunday to take charge of the remains, and a brother and sister, of Norwood, also went to Malone and accompanied the remains to Norwood on Sunday evening, where the funeral was held Monday.
