Camp Woodmere is on 33 acres on Upper St. Regis Lake that runs back to Bear Pond, to the west. It was owned by Robert Garrett, the first modern Olympic gold medalist in discus and shot put, and later by Harrison Garrett. The camp has nine sleeping cabins, a home office, a living room, and a dining cabin with a large eat-in-kitchen, family room, and outdoor dining terrace, a tennis court, boathouse and launch house. There are 23 structures in all, including woodsheds, a shop, pumphouses, etc.
After 125 years of being owned by the Garrett family, it was sold in 2018.
Rupert Hall was caretaker for 26 years until his death in 1977. He was succeeded by Pete McConville.
Note: "Camp Woodmere" is also the name of a girls' camp on Paradox Lake.
