Died: February 22, 2015

Married: August Simpson on October 2, 1954 at St. Paul's Church

Children: Kenny Simpson, Angela Penny

Ilean A. Simpson was born in Sugarbush, a daughter of Royal and Irene Collins Tuthill. Ilean married August Simpson.

She worked as a rural mail carrier from 1948 to 1961, as a waitress at the Pine Grove Restaurant for ten years, and as secretary-bookkeeper for the assessor's office for the town of St. Armand for 12 years, retiring in 1985.

She enjoyed quilting and sewing. Ilean was a founder of the Bloomingdale Senior Citizens Overlook housing complex, serving as president on the board of directors for many years.

She was involved with the Bloomingdale/Vermontville Over 55'ers Club, travelling and dining with them on a regular basis. She was known to play a mean game of Mexican Train/dominoes, and she loved family trips and spending time at the "racino" in Saratoga. Ilean also loved to read and was a big fan of country music.

She will be buried in St. Paul's Cemetery.
