Andy S. Gowett, son of Mrs, Addie Gowett of 17 Charles St., was promoted to Marine PFC on Jan. 14 while serving with Head- quarters and Service Company, 2nd Tank Battalion, at Camp LeJeune, N.C. Before enlisting in 11956 he attended the Saranac Lake High School and was employed by the Troy Laundry.
