Alexander H. Aubin, Sr. 71, of 51 Payeville Rd., Saranac Lake, died at 10:30 p.m. Monday at Saranac Lake General Hospital.

He had been a taxidriver. He was born Aug. 14, 1899 in Plattsburgh, a son of Alec and Cecila Tellstone Aubin and had lived in Saranac Lake for 45 years.

Survivors are: his wife, Violet M. Duprey Aubin whom he married in Saranac lake on July 2, 1927; two sons, Alexander Jr., and Norris; four daughters; Mrs. John (Ann) Grant, Mrs. Raymond (Hallie) Ohmann, Mrs. John (Janice) Bombard, and Mrs. Robert (Mary) Ohmann; and 19 grandchildren, all of Saranac Lake.

Also surviving are two brothers, George and Charles, of Plattsburgh, and 3 sisters, Mrs. Mary Fitzpatrick of Dannemora and Mrs. Amy Fitzpatrick and Mrs. Irene Burpo of Florida.

Friends may call at the Fortune Funeral Home where service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Interment will be in May in Pine Ridge Cemetery.
