Mrs. Ann Louisa Erkander died at her home, 36 Kiwassa Rd., this morning at the age of 79. She had lived in Saranac Lake since about 1910.

Mrs, Erkander was born July 3, 1881 in Baltimore, a daughter of Joseph and Caroline Geis. She received her R.N. in Baltimore and was married in 1925, in Trinity Church in New York City, to Amos Erkander, who survives. The Erkanders had operated a nursing home in Saranac Lake.

Friends may call at the Fortune Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at the funeral home at 2 p. m. Sunday with the Rev. Peter Hill, rector of St. Luke's Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery.
