Archie Keese worked as a handyman, boat liveryman and paint shop foreman at Saranac Inn. In his later years, he also delivered mail by boat on Upper Saranac Lake.

ARCHIE KEESE, DIES SUDDENLY
Archie Keese, life time resident of this area, died at 8 o'clock this morning at his residence, 1 Bloomingdale ave.
Death was attributed to a heart attack. His body will repose at the chapel of A. Fortune and Co.
Mr. Keese was born in Alderbrook on December 18, 1880, the son of Daniel and Mary Jane McKillip Keese. He attended local schools and had. been employed many years at Saranac Inn, where he served as a handyman, boat liveryman and paint shop foreman. About ten years ago he accepted a position with the postal service as mail carrier and delivered mail in the Summer months by boat on Upper Saranac Lake.
Mr. Keese was a member of the Saranac Lake Lodge of Elks 1508.
He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Ann Ryan, of Saranac Lake, Mrs Katherine Melius, of Plattsburgh and Mrs. Helen Collins.of Burlington also a brother, James T., of Saranac Lake.
