Mrs. Blanche Begen

Mrs. Blanche Begen of 11 Marshall Street, Saranac Lake, died Friday evening at Saranac Lake General Hospital where she had been a patient since April 30.

Mrs. Begen was born October 21, 1900 in Morrisonville, a daughter of William and Mary Gordon Rock. On June 24, 1926 she was married at St. Bernard’s Church in Saranac Lake to John Begen.

Survivors, besides her husband, are two sisters, Mrs. Irene Shackett of Massena and Mrs. Alberta Jabaut of Saranac Lake; two brothers, Charles Rock of Fort Jackson and Leon Rock of Saranac Lake.

A Rosary Service was held last night at the Fortune Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass was offered at 9 a.m. this morning at St. Bernard’s Church. Burial was in St. Bernard’s Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Edward Riley, William Mansion, John Munn, Bernard Tuthill, Dr. Bradley Sageman, and Harvey McDonald.
