St. Anne's Guild To Open Budget Box
Outgrown? Tired of it? No more use for that? Don't throw it away!
"We'll sell it for you." say the members of St. Anne's Guild, who propose to open the Budget Box, a thrift shop featuring good used clothing and accessories, shortly after May 1 at 6 Church St.
In two days of receiving the Budget Box has already built up a good stock of suits, coats, summer and winter dresses, blouses, sweaters, sport clothes and equipment, evening dresses and such accessories as shoes, handbags and costume jewelry for re-sale on consignment.
Owners of these items will receive two-thirds of the sale price with the remaining third being retained by the Budget Box.
Women of this village and surrounding communities are urged, during their annual spring cleaning, to set aside outgrown and discarded clothing in good condition, and to bring it to 6 Church St., next to St. Luke's Church, Wednesdays between 2 and 5 p.m., or Fridays between 7 and 9 p.m.
Clothing must be washed and pressed, or dry-cleaned. Men's women's, children's and maternity clothes in all sizes are being sought.
