SARANAC LAKE – CharIes H. Duffy, 54, died Tuesday in Saranac Lake.

He was a lifelong resident of Saranac Lake, having lived at 21 Edward Street.

He was born in Saranac Lake on Sept. 12, 1927, the son of Henry and Anna T. (Maguire) Duffy.

He was a World War II veteran, having served in the Army, and had been a self-employed carpenter.

He leaves his wife the former Lillian M. Titus of Saranac Lake; three sons, Robert Duffy of Geneva, Charles Henry Duffy Jr. of Saranac Lake and Hugh Duffy of Saranac Lake; four daughters, Mrs. Steven Clark of Ticonderoga, Mrs. David Jenner of Maryland, Miss Colleen Duffy of Arizona and Miss Patricia Duffy of Saranac Lake; a brother, Owen H. Duffy of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Eugene Crim of Auburn; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Keough and Son Funeral Home. There will be no calling hours on Sunday.

Funeral services will be held Monday at St. Bernard's Church at 11:15 a.m. The Rev. John McAvoy will celebrate the mass. ; Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends wishing to remember Mr. Duffy may make contributions to the Saranac Lake Rescue Squad.
