Mrs. Daisy Burke, 50 Dies at S.L. Hospital

Mrs. Daisy Burke passed away at 3:30 Saturday afternoon at the General Hospital where she had been a patient since January 5.

The body is reposing at the Fortune Funeral Home, where there will be a Rosary service tonight, at 8:30. There will be a Funeral Mass tomorrow morning at 10:30 at St. Bernard’s Church, and burial will be in St. Bernard’s Cemetery in the spring.

Mrs. Burke was born on August 25, 1908, in Cadyville, the daughter of William and Inez Leggett Sayles. She was the widow of the former Charles P. Burke, who passed away April 14, 1957.

She is survived by her mother, a daughter, Mary, of Saranac Lake and two sisters, Mrs. Art Lashway of Saranac Lake, and Mrs. Beatrice Pembrook of San Bernardino Calif.
