Daniel Keese

Born: c. 1845

Died: October 27, 1864, age 19 

'[Keese] was a son of John and Mary Ryan Keese.  He was a Civil War veteran, having served in the Grand Army of the Republic, Company D, 142nd Regiment, New York Volunteers. He is buried in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, where it is recorded that he was killed in battle. John Keese Jr. who died only a few months earlier, was his brother. Daniel's grave has a G.A.R. marker.
