Edwin Josiah Noyes was born in Keeseville, and died in Bloomingdale. He was one of the guides photographed by A. W. Durkee at Paul Smith's boathouse on October 2, 1885. He had also appeared in the group photo on August 8 of the previous year. According to a record in FindAGrave, he is buried in Saint Paul's Cemetery, Franklin Falls [sic].
