Family get together, c. 1880, by George C. Baldwin. The Miriam and Ira D. Wallach Division of Art, Prints and Photographs: Photography Collection, The New York Public Library. The New York Public Library Digital Collections.

According to Sally Svenson's book Adirondack Photographers, 1850-1950, George C. Baldwin's birth and death dates are unknown, he appears in no census records, and he may be the same person as George M. Baldwin. He first appears in 1879 as the owner of a photography gallery in Ogdensburg. The last evidence of him in the area was a home and business address in Malone dated 1889.

And a G. C. Baldwin appears the Malone Palladium, March 28, 1889, in a long list of "Those who have gone from Malone, to Washington" without further clarification.
