Gordon Vosburgh, Jr. was a son of Gordon Vosburgh. He served in the United States Air Force as a Second Lieutenant with the 7th Fighter-Bomber Squadron, 49th Fighter-Bomber Group. He piloted an F-84E Thunderjet fighter that crashed into his target during a weapons run on a training mission.
