Haward Street

Haward Street is a short, dead-end street that runs west off of Catherine Street; Woodycrest Road tees off of it to the south. The only house with a Haward Avenue address is the former Kinney Camp, an unusual star-shaped house on a large lot at the top of the hill, which was owned by a member of the Kinney Shoe Company family.

In the 1960's this dead end street was closed in the winter time since no one lived at the only house on the street, and the local kids around Park Avenue and Baker Street used this area for great sledding which was safe from any traffic.
