LAKE PLACID — Isabelle M. Porter, 83, formerly of 25 Hurley Ave. here, died Wednesday, March 26, 1997 at the Uihlein Mercy Center.
Born June 10, 1913 in Utica, she was the daughter of Henry and Rose (Facteau) Moody.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth W. Porter of Lake Placid, whom she married in Lake Placid May 30, 1930; one son, Kenneth Porter Jr.; three daughters, Shirley Pelkey, Joan Wood and Diane Smart, and Gary Porter and Nicole Hudson, all of Lake Placid; two brothers, Alfred Moody and Henry Moody Jr., both of Saranac Lake; 19 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother, Francis Porter, who died in 1994.
Calling hours at the Clark Funeral Home will be from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Steven Mills, pastor of Pilgrim Holiness Church in Lake Placid, officiating. Burial will be in the North Elba Cemetery in May.
