SARANAC LAKE — Lawrence J. Beseth died February 26 at his residence at 27 Bloomingdale Ave. He had been a resident since 1914.
He was born in Liberty, April 27, 1888, the son of Michael Beseth and Elizabeth Abplanalp. He was a carpenter and had worked at Trudeau Sanatorium for many years.
He was married to the late Ella Morgan by Father John Waters in St. Bernard’s Church on Oct. 18, 1915.
He is survived by two daughters: Miss Muriel Beseth and Mrs. Phyllis DeFuria both of Saranac Lake; one brother, George of Liberty; two sisters: Mrs. Edwin (Lillian) Finch and Mrs. Raymond (Marceline) Evans of Upper Derby, Pa.; Two grandsons: Lewis and Barry DeFuria, and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Keough and Son Memorial Chapels on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. There will be a Bible Vigil at 7:30 this evening at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held Tuesday at St. Bernard’s Church with a Mass of Resurrection at 11:15 a.m. with the Rev. Timothy Chambers officiating. Interment will be in St. Bernard’s Cemetery.
