SARANAC LAKE — Luis F. Araujo, 62, of 10-12 Edgewood Rd., Saranac Lake, died Friday, July 11, 2003 at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.
Born in the Bronx on June 14, 1941, he was the son of Luiz and Rosa (Arteaga) Araujo.
Luis lived in the Bronx with his family until he moved to the Wassaic Developmental Center, now known as the Taconic DDSO, in 1947. He moved to Sunmount DDSO in February 1988. Luis enjoyed music and had many friends.
He is survived by three brothers: John Araujo, Jack Araujo and Manuel Araujo, all of New York City, and one sister, Deolinda Araujo of New York City.
Luis was predeceased by his father and mother.
Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 16 at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A funeral service will immediately follow with the Rev. Thomas Kornmeyer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Saranac Lake.
