Mrs. Mary Ayres

A funeral Mass for Mrs. Mary Ayers, who died suddenly Tuesday afternoon at the age of 66, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Methodist Church. Interment will be in St. Bernard’s Cemetery in May. Friends may call at the Fortune Funeral Home where the Rosary will be said at 8 o’clock Thursday evening.

Mrs. Ayers was born May 18, 1901 in Coxsackie, the daughter of George and Mary Pierman. She came to Saranac Lake 42 years ago and was a cook at Will Rogers Hospital. Her husband, Edward J., died in July of 1962.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Robert McClure of Saranac Lake; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Cheesboro and Miss Dorothy Pierman, of Binghamton; a brother, Donald, of Binghamton, and three grandchildren.
