SARANAC LAKE — Michael Bardon, 61, of the Harrietstown Road died Sunday afternoon at Saranac Lake General Hospital. He had lived in Saranac Lake for about 10 years at 24 Pine St. before moving to the Harrietstown Road.

Mr. Bardon was born in Chicopee Falls, Mass., a son of John and Pauline Pietras Bardon. He had operated a lumber mill in Westport before coming to Saranac Lake, and since then he had worked with real estate sales and development.

Survivors are: his wife, Marjorie Cadorette Bardon; two sons, Michael Jr. of Norfolk, Va. and Kerry of Watertown; two daughters, Mrs. William G. Scheefer, III and Noreen Bardon of Saranac Lake; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Plachta of Chicopee Falls and Mrs. Carol Harrigan of Newington, Conn.; and six grandchildren.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 this evening and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Keough and Son Memorial Chapels. A prayer service will be held at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, and a Mass of the Resurrection will be offered at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bernard’s Church. Interment will be in St. Bernard’s Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to St. Bernard’s School first grade scholarship fund by those who wish to remember Mr. Bardon.
