Sheila D. Abare, 64, of Cronin Highrise, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, at her home, surrounded by family and friends after a long illness.
Born Nov. 8, 1936, in Saranac Lake, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Savoie) Martell.
Mrs. Abare enjoyed life with her family and friends and many grandchildren. She will be remembered for her personality and caring heart and the many pranks and indoor water fights with her children.
Survivors include her four children, Karla (LaDue) Delehant and her husband Michael of Saranac Lake, Rande LaDue and his wife Paige of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., Glenn Abare and his wife Linda of Hudson Falls, and Tracy (Abare) Shaw of Hudson Falls; two sisters, Doris Landry of Saranac Lake and Ernestine Cook of Glens Falls; one brother, Richard Martell of Tupper Lake; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth L. Abare, who died Feb. 18, 1997; a son, Keith W. LaDue; four sisters, Hildred Stewart, Mary Buckland, Theresa Babbie and Leona Jones; three brothers, Ernest Martell, Kenneth Martell and Ronald Martell.
