ATTACKED BY RAM

Mr. William Plumley, Sr., 84, of Franklin Falls was injured yesterday when he was butted by a ram at the home of his son-in-law, Steve Ransom of Bloomingdale, where he was working in the field where the sheep were grazing.

A buck sheep came up from behind and knocked down the elderly man. During the time he was pinned by the ram he held the animal's horns to keep it from attacking again. Although he tried to attract the attention of passengers in he cars which passed nearby, no one heard his yelling. It was several minutes before Mr. Ransom found the injured man and drove the sheep away.

Mr. Plumley was taken to the Saranac Lake General Hospital where X-rays were taken to determine the extent of his injuries, torn ligaments in his right shoulder.
