SARANAC LAKE – CharIes H. Duffy, 54, died Tuesday in Saranac Lake. 

He was a lifelong resident of Saranac Lake, having lived at [[21%20Edward%20Street|21 Edward Street]]. 

He was born in Saranac Lake on Sept. 12, 1927, the son of [[Henry%20Duffy|Henry]] and [[Anna%20Maguire%20Duffy|Anna T. (Maguire) Duffy]]. 

He was a [[World%20War%20II%20veteran|World War II veteran]], having served in the Army, and had been a self-employed carpenter. 

He leaves his wife the former Lillian M. Titus of Saranac Lake; three sons, Robert Duffy of Geneva, Charles Henry Duffy Jr. of Saranac Lake and Hugh Duffy of Saranac Lake; four daughters, Mrs. Steven Clark of Ticonderoga, Mrs. David Jenner of Maryland, Miss Colleen Duffy of Arizona and Miss Patricia Duffy of Saranac Lake; a brother, Owen H. Duffy of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Eugene Crim of Auburn; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

Calling hours will be held Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the [[Keough%20and%20Son%20Funeral%20Home|Keough and Son Funeral Home]]. There will be no calling hours on Sunday. 

Funeral services will be held Monday at [[St.%20Bernard%27s%20Church|St. Bernard's Church]] at 11:15 a.m. The Rev. [[John%20McAvoy|John McAvoy]] will celebrate the mass. ; Burial will be in the parish cemetery. 

Friends wishing to remember Mr. Duffy may make contributions to the [[Saranac%20Lake%20Rescue%20Squad|Saranac Lake Rescue Squad]].
