Adirondack Motel

Address:  248 Lake Flower Avenue

Old Address: 23 Lake Flower Avenue

Other names:

Year built:   Mid 1950s; demolshed 2019

The Adirondack Motel is the middle of three motels that were demolished in 2019 to build the Saranac Waterfront Lodge.  (Google Maps, 2019)

Other information:  The Adirondack Motel was owned by Joan Brush.  It was sold to Dick May in 1984, and later to Fred Mueller.

The address was previously the home of Christian Sporck; he was granted a variance to build a cabin within 50 feet of the Lake Flower shore line in 1953, and two more cabins in 1954.  In 1960, he applied for a building permit to combine his cabins into a motel.  He sold the motel in 1968.

Along with two neighboring motel properties, Lake Flower Inn and the Lakeside Motel this is the proposed site of a controversial ninety room, sixty foot tall hotel that was proposed in 2013.
