Shepard Avenue: Difference between revisions

Shepard Avenue, on Helen Hill was named for Colonel Elliott Shepard, a son-in-law of [H. Vanderbilt]. "When a man curing here named Shepard built a home for the [Presbyterian] minister out of appreciation and respect, they named a street 'Shepard' for him." ¹ It runs north from River Street to a dead end after Prescott Place.
