We were discussing old-time hostelries the other night, and Charlie Kingman wondered how many folks remembered when Tom Dewey ran the Edgewood Inn. George Grice had the Empire, and George Leis ran the Governor on Algonquin ave. Mr. Kingman tells me that he came to Saranac Lake in 1892 and has resided in the same house at 85 Lake st. ever since. a record?
