SARANAC LAKE — Donna J. McCormick 56, of 6 Duprey St., Saranac Lake, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.
Born Sept. 21, 1944 in Saranac Lake, she was the daughter of Alfred and Corinne (Woodruff) Moody.
Mrs. McCormick had been a life-long resident of Saranac Lake and along with her husband Richard, was co-owner of K&M Auto Repair for many years. She enjoyed the ocean, fishing, boating, camping, traveling, swimming, and her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Richard B. McCormick, whom she married Sept. 21, 1963; one daughter, Mrs. David (Dawn) Gaskins of Saranac Lake; one son, Jeffrey McCormick and his wife Janelle, of Saranac Lake; four grandchildren, Josh Colby, Jenna and Derek Gaskins and Alicia Smith; and her mother and father of Saranac Lake; two brothers, Rodney Moody and his wife Donna of Chazy Lake, and Alfred Moody and his wife Mary Lou of Saranac Lake and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A Bible vigil will be held at 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Bernard’s Church. Interment will be in St. Bernard’s Cemetery in May.
Memorial contributions can be made to the High Peaks Hospice, the Adirondack Medical Center Oncology Department or the Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad in care of the funeral home.
