SARANAC LAKE — Rita Corinne Moody, 86, formerly of 20 Crossfield Ave., Saranac Lake, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010 at Adirondack Medical Center.
She was born in Saranac Lake on Sept. 22, 1924, the daughter of William and Louise (Gero) Woodruff. She married Alfred G. Moody at St. Bernard’s Church on Sept. 22, 1942. He predeceased her on May 21, 2006.
Corinne Moody was a member of St. Bernard’s Church in Saranac Lake. She was a very caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and visiting with her family and friends. She is survived by her two sons: Rodney Moody and wife Donna of Chazy Lake, and Al Moody and wife Mary Lou of Saranac Lake; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and one brother Arnie Woodruff of Saranac Lake. She was preceded in death by her daughter Donna McCormick; one sister Muriel Lyon; and three brothers Gerald, Russell, and Clayton Woodruff.
Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at noon on Wednesday at St. Bernard’s Church with Rev. Mark Reilly officiating. Burial will take place in Pine Ridge Cemetery in May.
