SARANAC LAKE — Mrs. Phoebe Ohmann died yesterday, July 1, at the General Hospital of Saranac Lake. She had been a resident of the area for most of her life and had recently made her home with her son, Stanley, in Lake Clear.
Mrs. Ohmann was born in Black Brook on May 27, 1905, the daughter of Louis and Stella LaFountain Betters.
Her husband, Joseph, died in 1967.
She is survived by three sons, William and Raymond of Saranac Lake and Stanley of Lake Clear; and by a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Rogowski of Utica. Three grandchildren also survive.
Calling hours will be at the convenience of the family.
There will be a Requiem Mass, also at the convenience of the family. Celebrant for the Mass will be Father John Skaiowski of St. John’s Church in Lake Clear.
Arrangements are with the Fortune Funeral Home in Saranac Lake.
Those wishing to remember Mrs. Ohmann may make donations to the General Hospital of Saranac Lake or St. John’s Church in her memory.
Burial will be in St. Bernard’s Cemetery.
