Victor H. Lashway, 84, of 8 Leona Street, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 1989, at the General Hospital of Saranac Lake.
He was born Sept. 8, 1904, in Saranac Lake, the son of George and Celinda (Amell) Lashway.
He was married to Mary Agnes McDermott Sept. 22, 1930, at St. Bernard’s Church. She died Oct. 30, 1980.
Lashway had worked as a bookkeeper at the American Management Association for many years before retiring in 1978. He was a lifelong resident of Saranac Lake and was a member of the Saranac Lake Elks Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Vera) Finegan and Mrs. John (Marie) Derby, both of Saranac Lake; a brother, Arthur Lashway of Saranac Lake; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be at the Keough and Son Funeral Home tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. A Bible Vigil will be held at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday at 11:15 a.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Saranac Lake Rescue Squad in care of the funeral home.
